The Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) is a kettlebell certification program. The organization offers several certifications like the RKC, the Hardstyle Kettlebell Challenge (HKC), the RKC Level 2, and the Certified Kettlebell-Functional Movement Specialist (CK-FMS), all of which are among the highest achievement a kettlebell trainer can aspire to.
Steve has attempted and achieved the HKC which makes him a certified “hardstyle” kettlebell instructor. The RKC is the next step. It is a 3-day challenge that includes grueling workouts, expert and strict instructors focusing on the main kettlebell lifts, vigorous and specific testing requirements, and much more. Not only are there specific tests that you must pass to get your certification, but there are specific tests and physical requirements you must pass BEFORE beginning the 3-days! And the looming concept behind it all is this program has a 25% fail rate.
Well, we’ve decided to take the challenge. If I’m being honest I will admit that both Steve and I have trouble finishing what we start….we get excited about the experience, but then easily find other things to get motivated about leaving our original plan behind. The goal here is to kick that right in the butt! We want to help ourselves and our clients achieve the most amazing things, and this is where we feel we need to start. The RKC is a challenge like none other…it’s not like many training certifications that you can get over the internet, or from a one day course…this is the real deal, the big kahuna. A lot of prayer has gone into our decision to attempt this challenge, and a lot of work will go into it too, but your support will get us through!
The registration is complete, our kid’s babysitter is in place, so all that’s left is the hotel and flights! California here we come!
Thank you for your continued support and prayers… and of course for being the best clients in the world…we really do have the best!
